36 North Triathlon 2012 Update
 

Dear 36 North Triathlon Friends,

I am sorry to announce that we will be unable to produce the 36 North Triathlon in 2012. Due to ongoing construction at Tanglewood Park, we have not been granted an acceptable date for the 2012 event. Rather than relocate the event or significantly change the timing of the event for one year, the race committee thought it best to take a year off. Our focus has always been to produce the very best race experience possible, and we felt that significant venue or date changes would mitigate the race day experience.

Please continue to support triathlon in the Triad by signing up for the Belews Lake events (www.setupevents.com), the Angel’s Race (www.angelsrace.com) and the Kids for Kids Triathlon (www.kidsforkidstriathlon.com). We will be using our efforts to make these events even more successful in 2012.

Fleet Feet Sports will be hosting the ever-popular “Triathlon 101” in 2012, we will simply be training for another event in North Carolina.

Once again, we regret having to make this announcement, but have no other option for 2012. We hope you will consider checking back with us for details on the 2013 event.
